Welcome Home!

You have found paradise!

Yalaha is one of the oldest inhabited spots in Lake County.  For thousands of years native tribes called these shores home.  In the mid 1800s, Yalaha began to be settled and “snowbirds” began to flock to this rural area.

Yalaha is a Seminole word, meaning “orange” or “yellow-orange”.

The Harris Chain covers approximately 50,000 acres of water and the entire chain makes our shores the second largest lake in the State of Florida.
